Models of objects need to be made next lesson so we can get on with the making. Students need to get folio organised - section 1 should be complete and we should be addressing section 2 / 3.
REMEMBER ALL STUDENTS NEED TO COMPLETE THEIR OWN RECORD.

WE HAVE TALKED ABOUT THIS and students have been shown on the projector screen and also been given their own paper copy.

Get your designs sorted out so we can make models when we get back

Seriously though try to establish your designs, complete rough sketches so we can make models when we get back. Heck, some of you may want to model up your ideas over half term - if so - remember to take photos as evidence

Practical work unit 2

Students have extended guidelines and marking criteria for the practical aspect - unit 2 - of the course. Parents need to be aware that they are producing a design folder to support the practical work. At BGS with Mr.Geekie, most students are working on a knock down slot together item of furniture. They are also working on a project at BHS. This gives each student two practical outcomes. The design folio to support both projects. The folio will provide evidence of the students best work from each of the separate practical elements.

STUDENTS FOLLOWING THIS COURSE NEED TO COMPLETE A CANDIDATE RECORD FORM - this is a major change from previous years. This has been explained to students and a blank copy is on the school computer system.

All work to be complete BEFORE we break up for Easter.

Each student has been issued with a new blank folio to store and present their work.
